Ascot + Hart POP-UP
Have you ever seen an account on Instagram that you truly just get? Or, maybe you live vicariously with their Cali-soaked posts with their flawless rocker-chic, second-day-beach-hair and perfectly mismatched attire that seems to just catch the breeze the exact moment the camera shutter goes off? Those endless Ugh, I wish that I was that cool kind of moments. For me, that account is Ascot + Hart and the two friends behind the brand, the effortlessly cool, Jen Coleman and Laura Wiertzema.
I have had a few opportunities to meet Jen and I can say with all honesty, she is as cool as they come with a gentle and welcoming demeanor to match. This year, Ascot + Hart hosted their first flea-market style popup nestled in one of my personal favorite locations, Place at Tyler, located in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas. The all white, semi-industrial canvas was the perfect temporary abode for the hand-selected vendors and artisans to showcase their brands. The two day event welcomed guests of all sorts to wander through vintage clothing and home decor, local coffee makers, whimsical abstract artists, and even an on-sight piercing artist— the artist stepped out for coffee during my visit or else this girl would have her nose pierced out of glorious, wild-child spontaneity.
Take a moment to browse just a peek behind the day at the Ascot + Hart popup. You can be sure you will see me at next years event, camera in one hand, shopping bag full of one-of-a-kind finds in the other!
